This landmark effort coordinated business, environmental, equity and public sector leaders in a $1.5 million, two-year public process to create a vision of future development in the nine-county Bay Area. The project entailed working with over 100 local governments, planning directors and others throughout the region to identify environmentally important areas that should be preserved and to define land-use patterns for areas appropriate for future development.
